Backflip Press Release

TheStreet.Com Joins The Backflip Network

Backflip Service Enables TheStreet.com Readers to Create Personal Directory of Favorite Web Pages

NEW YORK and SAN FRANCISCO, March 02, 2000 -- TheStreet.com, Inc. (Nasdaq: TSCM), a leading Web-based provider of timely investment news and commentary, and Backflip, Inc. announced today a partnership to help readers of TheStreet.com create their own personal, searchable directory of favorite Web pages.

Under the agreement, a Backflip icon is featured on each story page of TheStreet.com site, allowing readers to store - or "backflip" - articles of TheStreet.com as they read them, so that they can be easily retrieved from each reader's personal Backflip Web directory later.

"This addresses a real need of our readers, and Backflip is an emerging Internet leader. The partnership with Backflip will allow our readers to clip and save TheStreet.com's leading-edge financial news and commentary, so that they can easily come back to it again and again," said Brendan Amyot, Vice President and General Manager, Consumer Markets of TheStreet.com.

"TheStreet.com's readers are some of the most active consumers and users of the Web. Our members were already actively backflipping TheStreet.com's valuable news and commentary, so this partnership was a natural us," said Tim Hickman, Chief Executive Officer of Backflip.
