Add the Backflip It! button to Your Desktop (Netscape for Mac Users)

Adding the Backflip It! button to your desktop makes backflipping a breeze.

  1. First drag the button to your browser.
    1. Near the top of your browser, there's a Personal Toolbar. Using your mouse, don't click, but drag the Backflip It! link up to the toolbar. If you don't see the Personal Toolbar, go to Step B.
    2. On the browser menu, select View.
    3. Hold the cursor over the Show choice.
    4. See if the side menu has a check mark next to Personal Toolbar.
    5. If the checkmark is not there, select Personal Toolbar.
    6. The Personal Toolbar should appear near the top of the browser. It will be below the Location Toolbar where you type Web addresses (URLs).
    7. If the Personal Toolbar is there but it looks "full" of buttons, that's OK. When your cursor turns into a "+" with a chain link, you can drop it 'on top' of any other button. It will just go between two existing buttons.
  2. Finish by dragging it from your toolbar and dropping it onto your desktop. (It becomes an alias.)
  3. You did it! Now, whenever you see a page you wish to add to Backflip, simply click the Backflip It! alias on your desktop.
