Using the Create Folders tab
By creating a new folder, you have a choice. You can organize your relevant Web pages into it yourself. Simply complete the following.

  1. Name: Call your folder something.
  2. Description: You will see this when you browse through My Folders.
  3. Place it here. This is where in My Folders you want to place this folder - either on your home page or within another folder. (It defaults to creating a new folder on your home page.)
  4. When you're done, click Create Now.

How do I use folders?
Use them to organize and easily find your Web pages. Things like "Travel," "Sports," or "Investment Info" are examples of folder names. Within folders, you can create sub-folders such as "Europe" and "Asia" under a Travel folder. With Backflip you're free to create any folder you wish. When you backflip a new page you can place it in one of your folders.

How do I edit or delete a folder (Title, Description, or Location)?
From within My Folders, click the folder you want to change. Below the folder name, click [Edit] to edit the page or [Delete] to delete it. Editing changes the folder information, yet the pages contained within that folder remain unaffected. Note: You cannot edit or delete the built-in "Everything Else" folder.

What happens to pages when I delete a folder?
The pages and sub-folders are totally removed from your Backflip. Of course the pages are still out there on the Web where you originally got them. Searching within Backflip will no longer find these pages.

How do I add pages to folders?
You can do this a few ways. When you add a new page by clicking the Add Pages tab, select which folder you want to file it in.
