By selecting My Folders or My Backflip you are setting a preference to have this be the first page you view in your account. My Backflip allows you to access new sites, organize a daily routine of the sites that you always visit, view your top ten most viewed sites, and learn about what's coming up next on Backflip and much more. My Folders is the page that displays all of your folders. With just one click you can view all of the pages within a specific folder.
What does it mean to select the number of links I see per page?
When you select a folder, this is the maximum viewable number of page links that will appear on one page. Backflip's default for page links is set at 10, if you want to view more at one time select a greater number and click Make Changes.
What does it mean to view your links in the Same Window, a Single New Window or a New Window Each Time?
When you click on a Backflipped link you can specify how it is viewed:
- Same Window will launch the page link in the window you are currently viewing. This is Backflip's default setting.
- Single New Window will create one pop-up window and launch all clicked on page links within this pop-up.
- New Window Each Time will launch a new window for every page link that is clicked.
What happens when I select a Default Folder to file new pages?
When you add a page to your account your selected default folder is where your page will be filed. The only time that this is overridden is when you are adding a page while in a specific folder in your account. In this case, the page will be added to the folder currently being viewed. Selecting a default folder frees you from selecting a specific folder and allows you to know exactly where all of your Backflipped pages are.
