Adding the Backflip It! Button
backflipping v. to add to Backflip. When you backflip a page you are adding it into your Backflip account.
Surf anywhere on the Web and effortlessly add pages to your Backflip. Once you backflip a page, you can easily find it again from any computer.
You choose how to add pages to Backflip:
- To get started add your current Bookmarks (Netscape) or Favorites (Internet Explorer) to Backflip from any computer you use. This does not affect your original Bookmarks or Favorites, but once you start using Backflip, we doubt you'll use them again.
- To really get backflipping, use the Backflip It! button on your Toolbar. The Backflip It! button makes it a snap to add pages. Once you add it to your toolbar, just click it whenever you're at a page you want to backflip. Using the pop-up window you even have the option of customizing the Title of the page and adding a description that's meaningful to you. Time Saver: If you don't type a description, Backflip will create one for you based on the page contents.
- If you're using a browser without the Backflip It! button, you can still add pages. Just add them directly in the Add Pages section of Backflip.
For more detailed instructions on any of the above topics please see Adding Pages. Should you need it, detailed help is available for each step.
Sure it's easy to add pages, but the real power of Backflip begins when you want to find them again. Backflip provides three views of your pages -- by folder, by site and by date added. You can skip these views altogether and use the Search My Backflip feature that looks only in your Backflip pages. To learn more, check out Organizing Pages and Searching.
